Federal Grants Management


This course is designed around the key elements necessary for successfully managing federal funds and, in particular, for successfully managing HUD funds.


You will learn the basics of sound grants management practices covering the entire lifecycle of a grant – from allocation of funds through grant closeout. We focus on real-world issues, and, to help participants apply the principles, include time to review your specific program challenges. For more information, please refer to the agenda.

Participant Pre-Assignment: Please bring the grant management questions you have about your specific programs so we can discuss them during the training.

Training Dates and Times: The training is being held on June 25, 2024-June 26, 2024. Day 1 - Registration 8:30am-9:00am. Training 9:00am-4:30pm. Day 2 - Training 9:00am-4:30pm. Please refer to the agenda.

Hotel: The training site and hotel are one in the same. We have secured a room block at the Courtyard Portland City Center which expires May 25, 2024. The blocked dates are June 24, 2024-June 26, 2024. The room rate is $159.00 (plus taxes and fees). Parking is $48.00 daily.
